REUNIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS

For Parents & Guardians

  • A reunification procedure is used when it is necessary to release students directly to their parent, guardian, or designated emergency contact due to an emergency situation that prevents a normal dismissal, such as a fire, a natural disaster, or violence in the surroundings.

  • Fires, hazardous materials, floods, tornados, blizzards, power outages, severe storms... these are just part of the possible events that may necessitate a controlled reunification and release for a school.

A planned & practiced reunification plan ensures the reunification process will run smoothly and not further complicate what is probably already a chaotic, anxiety-filled situation.

  • In the case of an unforeseen circumstance requiring a possible reunification of you & your child, please follow these steps:

    1. Stay home until further instruction.

    2. Print and fill out a reunification form (one per child).

    3. Stay informed by reading notifications from school sent via email &/or text.

    4. Be ready to pick-up when you are instructed: Make sure you have gas in your car & your driver's license or a valid form of ID.
